CACHAN, FRANCE - A London-based collector has purchased Tony Ward's 1995 tableaux vivant entitled "The Figure" for 15,000 euros ($18,000). The purchase, made during Ward's participation in a group show entitled Sexe et Convenance, in the Parisud Gallery in Cachan, France, sets a new benchmark for a large scale Ward work. The print was the first in an edition of five of "The Figure" at the size of 48" X 72". The second print in the edition is now being offered at 19,000 euros ($22,000). Internationally acclaimed erotic art photographer Tony Ward is offering workshops on the nude in photography at the beautiful Chateau de Chaalis in France.

Each workshop begins with an overview lecture and slide presentation on the world of photographic erotica. Then with the full participation of several of Ward's most talented and beautiful models, Tony will guide each student through the actual production of an erotic art photo series.

Tony will instruct students individually and in groups during each stage of production, giving detailed information on lighting, cameras, hair/makeup, and post production. Critical strategies such as how to communicate effectively with models to set them at ease and achieve the best creative results, will be demonstrated and explored at length. Tips on model releases and other essential legal documentation, as well as effective practical strategies for getting pictures published will also be discussed.

All students must be over 18 years of age, and are required to bring a digital camera. While not required, a laptop with Photoshop installed is also recommended. To ensure the optimum learning experience for all participants, enrollments are strictly limited. Each student will receive a signed copy of Ward's latest book, Best of Erotica, published by 6 X 6.com, Berlin.
